Project Success is a seven-week research internship designed for high school students from underrepresented backgrounds in science. Here, you will work at Harvard Medical School or a Harvard-affiliated biomedical research lab, conducting research on disease, treatment, or health. As a participant, you will also find opportunities to develop technical lab skills. Mentorship is a core aspect of the experience, with the curriculum incorporating opportunities to learn directly from researchers and clinicians within the Harvard network. In addition to lab tasks, you will attend seminars and participate in site visits to hospitals and biotechnology companies.

2. Veritas AI’s Deep Dive: AI + Medicine

As a participant, you will spend 25 hours learn about and working on AI applications that help address a need within medicine/healthcare. The program pairs high school students with Ph.D. mentors to work 1-on-1 on an independent research project. At the end of the 12-week program, you’ll have developed an independent research paper! You can choose research topics from subjects such as psychology, physics, economics, data science, computer science, engineering, chemistry, international relations, and more. 5. Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center’s CURE
