The Mathematical Modeling at Mercy University (M3U) program is a summer-long, advanced mathematics enrichment program for academically talented, economically disadvantaged students. You’ll engage in real-world mathematical modeling problems drawn from the physical, natural, and environmental sciences, learning how mathematics is applied to complex scientific questions. The program combines classroom instruction with hands-on activities in computer and science laboratories, along with the use of professional software tools. 

2. Veritas AI

Veritas AI, founded and run by Harvard graduate students, offers programs for high school students who are passionate about artificial intelligence. Students who are looking to get started with AI, ML, and data science would benefit from the AI Scholars program. Through this 10-session boot camp, students are introduced to the fundamentals of AI & data science and get a chance to work on real-world projects. Another option for more advanced students is the AI Fellowship with Publication & Showcase. Through this program, students get a chance to work 1:1 with mentors from top universities on a unique, individual project. A bonus of this program is that students have access to the in-house publication team to help them secure publications in high school research journals. 3. The CCNY STEM Institute – Summer Program

The Lumiere Research Scholars Program’s Math Track offers those the opportunity to conduct individualized, university-level mathematical research under the mentorship of PhD researchers from leading global institutions. The program begins with structured skill-building modules that introduce core topics such as mathematical proofs, discrete mathematics, linear algebra, probability, optimization, and mathematical modeling. Through weekly one-on-one mentorship sessions, you’ll engage deeply with advanced mathematical concepts and learn how to read and analyze academic research papers. You’ll then develop an original research question tailored to their interests, spanning pure mathematics as well as applied fields such as data science, physics, economics, and computer science. 

5. Simons Summer Research Program

The Simons Summer Research Program at Stony Brook University offers you the opportunity to engage in hands-on research within science, mathematics, or engineering. You’ll, known as Simons Fellows, work closely with distinguished faculty mentors and become integrated members of active research teams. You will also participate in weekly faculty-led talks to explore different STEM disciplines and join workshops to enhance your research skills. At the conclusion of the program, you will submit and present your research abstract and poster.

6. Fordham University Science and Technology Entry Program (STEP) – Summer Program
