OUR MISSION
Founded by Harvard graduates, Veritas AI introduces ambitious high school and middle school students to Artificial Intelligence. Our students work with researchers at top universities to learn the fundamentals of AI and Machine Learning and build a project using these skills. We empower students to apply AI to fields they’re passionate about, such as medicine, finance, physics, and environmental science.
We offer programs for different experience levels: the AI Scholars program is a 10-week introduction for beginners, while the AI Fellowship helps students familiar with Python build their own AI model. Our Deep Dive programs explore AI’s applications in fields like Medicine and Finance. The AI Trailblazers. program is specially designed for middle school learners.
Past student projects include AI models that identify the origin of blood clots in images, classify music genre based on audio waveform, and detect ‘pump and dump’ activity in micro-cap stocks.
Veritas AI is academically rigorous. Students who successfully complete our program are eligible for 3 units of post-baccalaureate credit from the University of California, San Diego’s Extended Studies school.
Letter from our Program Director, Daniel Marion
If you knew me in college, you wouldn't have expected a career in tech. I studied history at Tufts University, then went on to work as a venture capitalist analyzing AI startups, and later led growth operations at an AI startup myself. Believe it or not, my history degree shaped my tech career more than anything else.
Studying history teaches you to spot patterns. When ChatGPT-3 launched and the modern AI era began, I immediately thought of other moments like it — the industrial revolution, the rise of the internet. Inventions like electricity and the World Wide Web are inseparable from daily life now, but when they first arrived, they were met with skepticism, criticism, and a lot of confusion about how to use them.
When AI entered the global conversation, I heard people far smarter than me call it the biggest invention since the internet. Computer science had been my toughest class in college, but I knew I had to teach myself AI anyway. Slowly, I studied AI theory and history, experimented with tools, built and broke and rebuilt programs, and kept learning. That effort turned into real opportunities in tech and venture capital.
I joined Veritas AI because I believe deeply in what we do. AI is transforming nearly every industry and field of study, in ways that can feel inspiring or frightening depending on where you're standing. It's an exciting time for people who know how to use AI, and an intimidating one for those who don't.
At Veritas AI, we train the next generation of AI innovators, researchers, and educators. Like any powerful technology, AI's impact depends on the people using it. Our students have built convolutional neural networks that help detect life-threatening diseases in MRI scans. Others have analyzed traffic data to make recommendations that reduce accidents and save lives. Their research spans physics, biology, finance, sociology, law, and more.
We're teaching them to master one of the most powerful technologies we've ever built — and to use it responsibly. History doesn't remember the people who waited for new technology to make sense before engaging with it. It remembers the ones who leaned in early, asked hard questions, and helped shape what came next. That's what we want for every Veritas student: not just to keep up with AI, but to help write what happens next.
